1001 Tolerations

Just how much do we put up with?
My son is an avid Thomas the Tank Engine watcher, and at one point in a story, Percy overburdened by work says he feels put upon. Thomas’ carriages laugh at Percy and sing a song “put upon, put upon, put upon Percy.”
Clearly the intention is to teach kids stoicism. A virtuous trait, or is it?
In many cases the trait can hold us back as individuals, leaders and managers.
