Leadership Turn

Leaders who DO: Casey Ross

by Miki Saxon on February 5th, 2008

In case you didn’t know, the Leadership Turn community is fantabulous and none more so than Casey Ross. Casey is the kind of leader that DOES and what he wrote was so good that I’ve borrowed a chunk for republication here along with the IBM logo he loves. I agree, it really does say it all. Casey, I salute you.

ibm_tag.jpgLeadership is doing.

You can read books until your eyes are blurry. You can analyze everything. You can study all the facts. You can think all the thoughts. You can get advice from all the experts. You can share your wisdom with anyone who will listen. You can dream big dreams.

But at the end of the day, what you do is what matters. Leaders do. Leaders act. And leaders do and act at work, at home, wherever they are.

Yes, there is much value in analyzing, studying, thinking, etc. But too many people pretend to be leaders and never act.”

Whom do you know that DOES instead of talks?
