Quotable quotes: the razor’s edge

Great sound bites are like any other collectible—they aren’t diminished by age and reproductions abound.

razor.jpgIn that light, here are three collectable razors and one reproduction.

Probably best known is

  • Occam’s razor: It is vain to do with more that which can be done with less.

However, moderation is a slippery slope and we humans often go too far, but there is usually a response to that, too.

The beauty of this thought begat a modern reproduction.

Much as I agree with KISS, here is my own favorite razor. Although the authorship is disputed, the validity of the comment is not.

  • Hanlon’s Razor: Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

What’s your favorite collectible?

I specially agree with your last quote it is a great remedy against paranoia.

Unfortunately there is such an ample supply of stupidity amongst us that it is difficult to find things that can not be explained by it ;)

Hi Denis, I’ve missed you. What you say is true and makes me thing that we need another update.

Miki’s razor: Don’t ignore the possibility of malice because of the abundance of stupidity.
