Who’s Jone Lewis?

Just a bit of background, on both who I am and why I’m blogging on leadership.

I’ve been fascinated by the topic of leadership, ever since the day in 10th grade when my high school surprised me with an award of a Leadership medal. I saw myself as pretty quiet and reserved, and I wasn’t a president of any club or a student government representative, so it was a surprise — and even more of a surprise when I asked friends why they thought I’d received the award, and they were NOT surprised! That’s the first time, I think, that I learned that leadership is about what you do, not what positions you hold.
