Miki, I am still trying to figure out if Twitter is worthwhile. I joined at about the same time I started LeaderTalk. I am not actively looking for followers, but I have started following other people with similar interests, and have seen my following gradually increase. Honestly, though, I find it overwhelming. I don’t have a lot of time or energy to devote to it, and I am not sure what results I would get for my time.
I’ve seen you mention that you’re not on Twitter, and I would love to hear your thoughts.
Hi Becky, I suppose, if I’m going to be totally honest (and get myself in trouble), I should start by saying that spending time online bores me silly. For me, the net is a business tool, not a way of life. I prefer my friendships to exist in the real world, whether in person or by phone, and my relaxation between the covers of a book.
I am told by my marketing friends that I will be forced onto Twitter and Facebook when we release our new product, because they’ll be one of the most efficient way to reach our target audience. We’ll see.
In all, I’m probably not a good person to ask. I suggest that you join LinkedIn Bloggers, for more a knowledgeable view of it. (It’s a group you should be in anyway:)
